85 Meter Explorer Superyacht Concept From Rosetti And Rolls-Royce

Rosetti have revealed their first explorer superyacht will come from Rolls-Royce Marine architecture and engineering.

The superyacht will be the first in a range from 48 metres to 85 metres as we reported in Rosetti Marino Group 85 Metre Explorer Superyacht Concept which is a Tommaso Spadolini design, but now we have more details and news of the RR imput.

Rosetti is the Italian supplier for oil and gas industry craft and has recently announced investing in the superyacht sector, which may be why 85 meter exploration concept yacht takes a lot from supply vessel design.

The project can be adapted to clients needs with 2 alternative deck arrangements of either a midship or aft helicopter landing pad. Rosetti point out though that the aft helipad offers certain practical advantages such as a sailing yacht can be stowed amidships without making helicopter operations difficult. The bridge deck is given over to the helm station, technical areas and the captain’s cabin.

The 2,200 gross tonne luxury yacht is powered by Rolls-Royce engineering, power electric system, and propulsion units. Four MTU 16V 4000 engines will be combined with Rolls-Royce patented azimuthing pulling propellers, allowing for a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
